Teacher Development Programme
OLSET Provincial Co-ordinators have the responsibility and
remit to undertake teacher-training workshops. A workshop
schedule for this is formulated at the beginning of each year.
These work-plans are generally devised in co-operation with
the DoE and are held in urban and rural areas alike. In the
2006-2009 period, OLSET intends making greater use of increased
Inservice teacher support at a distance, through Audio visual
formats and radio programmes, reducing costs incurred by conventional
face to face training.
