Olsets' Funders
OLSET is dependent upon International Donor support in order
to undertake implementation of the Radio learning Progamme
in impoverished classrooms around the country. Whilst his
has been made possible by various donor grants since 1992,
OLSET us currently supported by a grant from the Royal Netherlands
Embassy, Pretoria, South Africa. Through this support from
the Netherlands government, OLSET anticipates supporting nearly
three million children and some 64 00 teachers daily in all
provinces, by 2009.
Previous Funders instrumental in the growth
of the Radio learning Programme have been USAID, Liberty Life,
Zenex Foundation, Royal Norwegian Embassy and DfID. The latter
enabled OLSET to go to scale in an unprecedented manner, making
possible access to OLSET support in most of the country, regardless
of geographical remoteness of communities.
